Position Overview

Primary Purpose of Position

The Graduate Assistant for the Department of Nursing is a two-year appointment reporting directly to the Nursing Student Services Director. As a member of the academic advising team, the GA will

assist with student caseloads, outreach efforts, and various departmental activities.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit

The Department of Nursing is dedicated to preparing compassionate and effective nurse leaders

who transform healthcare communities. The Graduate Assistant (GA) will support this mission by

contributing to the Nursing Student Services team, which is led by the Director of Nursing Student

Services. This two-year assistantship provides an opportunity to work closely with both pre-nursing and nursing students, focusing on academic advising, student support, and departmental initiatives.

Work Hours 20 hrs. per week
