Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator 1, Warehouse Operations to join our team at Becton Dickinson_Carefusion. This role involves performing administrative and physical tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

Pay Rate: $18.20/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Employment Type: Temporary (Contract to hire)

Job Start Date: Mon Nov 11, 2024

Job End Date: Tue Nov 11, 2025

Drug Test Required: Yes

Key Responsibilities:

Complete ERP system transactions using a computer or handheld scanner.

Communicate effectively with team members and internal customers via Microsoft Outlook and Teams.

Read and interpret customer orders to identify part numbers, quantities, and locations.

Locate and select specific inventory items to fulfill orders.

Inspect orders for accuracy prior to shipping.

Load and off-load trucks as necessary.

Maintain proper inventory control and housekeeping in warehouse areas.

Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safely.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' work experience or equivalent training/education.

Forklift certification required.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Previous experience in warehouse/inventory control is preferred.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and push/pull up to 30 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying conditions.

Must be able to stand, walk, and perform tasks that may require bending, twisting, and reaching.
