Here’s the Gist:
Work with project managers in all aspects of site and project safety, help lead safety talks and weekly safety topics, site safety matrix. Manage small Facility Operations infrastructure or similar projects as needed, facilitate the monthly Contractor Safety Council, and provide project manager assistance and coverage as needed.
The Day-to-Day:
- Reviewing and assisting contractors in filling out JHA forms, job work permits as needed, and safety walks for projects throughout site.
- Drive the safety effort and attitude for the Project Team.
- Adhere to department communication standards regarding invasive work.
- Assist with drawing and submittal reviews as necessary.
- Champion LOTO requests for Facilities team construction project.
- Participate in the PCR (Project Change Request) process and identify changes that are needed to execute safely.
- Participate in the MoC process.
- Assist Project PM’s with Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) reviews and drive quality on these documents and actions.
- Conduct weekly safety walks and observations.
- Ensure contractor and Wolfspeed data is entered into Procore.
- Communicate project impacts to site logistics. Coordinate with PM’s and contractors for upcoming work and sending notifications for traffic plans along with other work notifications.
- Participate in root cause analysis on near misses and incidents.
- Support RFI development and closeout.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Strong Safety Management and Leadership skills
- Willing to work overtime for day-to-day field supervision of construction activities.
- Support field crews with safety reviews prior to starting work
- Strong safety-oriented background
- Attend and Lead contractor safety walks and toolbox talks
- Ensures compliance with Wolfspeed’s HSE programs
- Utilize Procore and other construction management programs to track project health, safety, and documentation
- OSHA 30 certification or trained
- Served as field technical leader
