Description

This role will be to assist with the removal of Java from all our end-point computers. Technician will work with the End User Services teams directly. Responsibilities are to work with end-users and coordinate removal of Java software, report statuses and escalate issues to a larger project team.

Summary: The main function of a desktop technician is to be responsible for the installation, configuration, and administration of Windows desktops.

Job Responsibilities: Assist in the software and hardware life cycle management processes including research, packaging, quality assurance, and deployment preparation

Set up new users, including desktop configuration, email accounts, ldap accounts, VPN accounts Support employees, both local and remote, with desktop issues, account issues, and access to various internal services

Troubleshoot software issues on employee’s desktops/laptops Some off hours support may apply

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Removing Oracle from their systems – trying to get Java out of their environment. Will be working on the field ops team. Should have experience remoting in to work with Users to determine/document whether they need to remove or keep Oracle. If they don't need it, they should have experience with removing apps.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00
