About the role As an Applied Research Manager, you will: Experiment and Develop: You will execute the entire model development lifecycle,from prototype to delivery, while applying best practices for reproducible research and well-managed software delivery. About you Basic qualifications PhD in a relevant discipline or Master's plus a comparable level of experience 8+ years hands-on experience building IR / NLP systems for commercial applications Prior management experience - coaching & developing high-performing teams Experience writing production code and ensuring well-managed software delivery Demonstrable experience translating complex problems into successful AI applications Outstanding communication, problem solving, and analysis skills Preferred qualifications Experience innovating state-of-the-art research to solve real-world problems. Experience designing and implementing solutions with large language models Relevant publications at ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGIR, KDD, or similar. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $137,900 - $256,100. The base compensation range in other locations may vary. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
