ASSISTANT DIRECTOR FOR ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES MANAGEMENT
RATE OF PAY: $22.00 - $25.00/hr., depending on experience and qualifications)
SHIFT: Full-Time, Tuesday- Saturday or Sunday- Thursday from 8-4p

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Environmental Services Director directs the maintenance staff. He assists with duties in maintaining a safe, clean and secure environment for the residents and staff in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedules, supervises, and maintains logs on the maintenance operation, testing and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems in accordance with prevailing policies and regulations
Supervises TMG maintenance personnel in the facility as assigned by Director of ESM
Corrects any fire hazards or needed repairs in the facility
Conducts and reports on all fire and disaster drills
Identifies, reports to Director and schedules repair of any equipment malfunctions, or areas in poor repair
Supervises waste disposal procedures in accordance with facility policy
Assists in maintaining and updates MSDS sheet books
Ordering supplies and equipment as needed
Other tasks as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Minimum 18 years of age
No findings or convictions of resident abuse, mistreatment and misappropriation of property
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid NYS Driver's License
expertise and experience required for the task
Demonstrated ability in management, leadership and interpersonal skills
Working knowledge of OSHA standards as they relate to maintenance (i.e., personal protective equipment, lock out/ tag out
Possesses a working knowledge of the Life Safety Code and all other regulations and laws pertaining to the physical environment
Knowledge of facility emergency procedures
