Who You Are...

As an integrated ODR mechanical solutions provider the company seeks to create and scale long term, consistent recurring revenue streams from its top owner relationships by assigning dedicated, account based personnel to work in unison capturing a diverse and comprehensive wallet share of available and related mechanical services revenue spanning from technical service T&M and project work, preventative maintenance, special projects T&M and project work, to larger ODR projects performed as a mechanical/general prime contractor.

The Branch Manager participates on the branch management team to develop and implement common business strategies throughout the company. S/he oversees and directs the day-to-day functions of the branch location, and is responsible for the branch's brand and/or image within the local market and throughout the Company. S/he provides leadership and guidance to all staff, in order to facilitate an environment of continuous improvement and ensure key business performance objectives are met or exceeded. S/he ensures the growth and profitability of the branch by managing the budget, controlling expenses, prioritizing safety, and building/maintaining customer relationships.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists in developing the annual strategic/financial plan for the branch, and assumes responsibility for delivering on sales, operating income, and cash flow commitments.
  • Creates quarterly objectives tied to the plan or strategic issues within the branch, and holds the leadership team accountable for meeting/exceeding those objectives.
  • Communicates regularly to branch personnel on local progress, opportunities, issues to be addressed, significant company news, and strategic initiatives passed down from senior management.
  • Ensures the branch remains on solid operating ground, employs a strong focus on risk management, and remains in compliance with all processes, procedures, and guiding principles of the Company.
  • Researches new markets, services, major projects, or significant service contracts for consideration, and makes appropriate recommendations to key internal stakeholders.
  • Involves themselves with developing, implementing, and monitoring a sales program that supports market expansion, identifies and develops target accounts, and achieves successful maintenance of existing accounts.
  • Assigns account managers to target customers, along with clear quarterly sales objectives.
  • Provides 1:1 sales coaching to special project managers/account executives/sales representatives, and assists in executing a sales strategy for each prospective project or service account.
  • Determines when to bring in LCS for redesign, design build, or off-site prefabrication support.
  • Champions proposal strategy to maximize the odds of award and gross profit and assure our that our value proposition meets/exceeds the customer's objectives.
  • Provides leadership oversight of the branch construction and service operations, and ensures adherence to the Elements of the Company.
  • Participates in monthly branch reviews with the CEO, CFO, and Branch Advisor.
  • Executes HR-related decisions (promotions, salary adjustments, corrective actions, etc.) for direct reports.
  • Trains, develops, and provides feedback to direct reports to facilitate successful attainment of team objectives.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position operates primarily in an office environment, and routinely utilizes standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets.
  • Work tasks may occasionally necessitate travel to local job sites, which means intermittent exposure to the conditions typically associated with a construction site.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • In performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to talk, hear, perform repetitive motion, and possess an appropriate degree of both visual acuity and manual dexterity.
  • This is considered a light work position, which means possible exertion of up to twenty (20) pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to ten (10) pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

TRAVEL:

  • This position may require up to 30% travel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
  • 10-15 years of industry-specific experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage in effective collaboration and communication (both written and verbal).
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel in particular).
  • Capacity to leverage interpersonal skills to develop and enhance business relationships.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical systems, in terms of design, installation, and commissioning.
  • Strong financial expertise in the areas of planning, gross profit redemption, overhead control, and ROI.
