New York City Health + Hospitals Correctional Health Services Central Operations Program Analyst (Coordinating Mgr LA), CHS in EAST ELMHURST, New York

Act as a project manager for team process improvement projects, coordinating stakeholders within and outside the department to assure that appropriate feedback is obtained and to monitor timely project progress.Act as process knowledge base for department by creating and maintaining written operational guides and by developing deep understanding of the Central Operations subunit. This requires directly contributing to its support on a scheduled and as-needed basis and exposure to workflows on all tours. This requires a willingness and ability to respond to a high-volume of inbound phone and email communication promptly and professionally with attention to detail.Identify and perform data analyses that support understanding of team work products and independently review and summarize the completion of routine tasks by the department. Participate in team process improvement initiatives.Oversee planning, development and may conduct training programs to maintain proficiency of personnel and for use of new equipment and implementation of methods and procedures.Review official directives and correspondence to ascertain such data as changes prescribed in Corporate, facility or department programs, policies, procedures and new assignments or responsibilities delegated to officeReview, prepare and rewrite operational manuals and procedures.Preferred Skills:A Masters degree in Arts or Science with a specialization in hospital administration, health care administration, administrative medicine or in public health when conferred for a program in hospital administration, from an approved college or university; or a Baccalaureate degree; andFour (4) years of administrative experience and background; or,An equivalent combination of training, education and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and,General knowledge of policies and programs utilized in the operation of a health care facility, ability to assimilate and analyze data, to recommend action based on analytical findings, and to assist in the solution of complex problems in health care administration and management.Comfort completing data analysis, preparing reports and creating presentations without additional Excel or PowerPoint training required.Is able to organize, sort and manage a high volume of electronic resources with minimal supervision.Position may require participation in team observation, process documentation, or project rollout activities outside of standard business hours for up to 2 shifts per week as needed by supervisor.Minimum Qualification1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, Psychology or Rehabilitation Counseling, and three (3) years of full-time experience in medically-oriented health care and medical support systems environment, two (2) years of which included experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in such occupations as physical, occupational, inhalation, speech and audiology therapy or as Medical/Laboratory Technologist, Microbiologist (various specialties), Chemist (biochemist), Radiation and X-Ray Technician or three (3) years of responsible level experience in business management systems or general administration including two (2) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity.2. A Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in the disciplines listed in (1), and two (2) years of full-time experience as listed in (1), plus one (1) year experience in an administrative or supervisory capacity in occupations as listed in (1); or,3. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.Note: Certification or licensure may be required.<s
