Adecco US, Inc. Material Handler in East Hartford, Connecticut

Adecco is assisting a local client in East Hartford, CT in hiring dedicated and detail-oriented individuals to join our team, where we support the manufacturing of jet engine components through logistics and material handling operations. These roles are critical to ensuring the smooth operation of our client's production lines by managing the flow of materials, parts, and finished goods.

Key Responsibilities:

Shipping and Receiving:

Accurately process incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition.

Utilize inventory systems to log, track, and manage materials and components.

Detote:

Efficiently unpack and organize parts and materials from shipping totes or containers.

Ensure materials are stored correctly for easy retrieval and use in production.

Kitting:

Assemble kits of parts for assembly lines according to specific instructions or build lists.

Verify kit accuracy to maintain quality control standards.

General Warehouse Duties:

Perform physical tasks including lifting, moving, and sorting of materials.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to adhere to safety and efficiency standards.

Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred, with a focus on logistics or material handling.

Familiarity with inventory management software and systems is a plus.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in handling sensitive materials.

Good organizational skills to manage and prioritize tasks effectively.

Basic mathematical skills for inventory management and kitting accuracy.

Physical capability to handle materials, which may include lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Additional Information:

Training: On-the-job training will be provided to familiarize new hires with specific processes and systems unique to this facility.

Work Environment: Lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods of time.

Pay Details: $18.25 to $20.75 per hour
