Part-time: Tuesday & Thursday 3-11pm

Salary: $22.66/hour

CEC is designed to enhance and promote the integration of medical and behavioral health disciplines to improve patients’ outcomes.

In this role as a Community Residence Counselor, you will:

  • Provide counseling, behavioral interventions, restorative services, assistance in negotiating community activities and crisis management services.

  • Monitor, train and assist residents in all programs in household maintenance activities to ensure a clean, safe and homelike environment. Directly participate in household maintenance activities when required.

  • Provide training, supervision and assistance to residents in daily activities including food purchases, recreational activities, and meal planning and personal care activities.

  • Assist residents in developing meaningful service plan goals and provide supports to assist residents in achieving their goals.

  • Conduct fire safety training activities.

  • Document interactions with residents in accordance with agency policies and standards.

  • Meet weekly, or as scheduled, with assigned primary residents for counseling and to establish and review service plan goals.

  • Assist residents in procuring and maintaining financial entitlements.

  • Monitor medications as required.

    This position as a Community Residence Counselor requires:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must have NY driver’s license with a clean driving record.

  • Experience in a mental health related field preferred.
