Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This a temporary or on-call position. Provides a wide variety of consulting services including conference, seminar or workshop design/presentation; operations review and analysis; project design, completion, coordination or management; or related consulting services. Consultants paid on grant funds must be paid on an hourly or daily basis, with a minimum wage of $12.00 per hour. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The interim IACUC Administrator will work with the Office of Research Regulatory Support staff to:

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and other regulatory bodies and policies governing the ethical use of animals in research and testing
• Manage the IACUC office operations
• Oversee post-approval monitoring of facilities and laboratories to ensure ongoing protocol adherence
• Investigate and resolve non-compliance issues or concerns related to animal care and use protocols
• Create, disseminate, and maintain required reports and notices in accordance with established laws and regulations
• Communicate responses pertaining to animal research, teaching, and testing
• Participate on the ORRS and ACP leadership teams
