Description

We are seeking a Real Estate Paralegal/ Executive Assistant for a company in the Lansing area

Responsibilities:

• Draft and review a variety of legal documents, such as purchase agreements, leases, deeds, easements, and closing documents

• Conduct comprehensive legal research to support the work of attorneys

• Analyze title documents to identify any potential issues and ensure a clean title

• Prepare closing checklists and documents, ensuring all necessary paperwork is prepared and in order for the closing of a property sale

• Communicate with clients, realtors, and lenders to answer questions about the real estate process, obtain necessary information, and discuss financing

• Maintain and organize both physical and electronic files to keep accurate and complete records

• Utilize your skills in corporate and commercial real estate to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the real estate process.

Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Certified Paralegal or equivalent legal qualification is preferred.

• Proven experience working as a Paralegal within the Real Estate & Property industry.

• Proficient in Corporate Real Estate and Commercial Real Estate law.

• Demonstrated experience in drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and case management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with clients and stakeholders.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.

• Proficiency in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Must adhere to professional ethical codes and confidentiality principles.

• Familiarity with real estate regulations, contracts, and leases.

• Proactive attitude with a problem-solving mindset.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

• Willingness to continually update knowledge of laws related to the Real Estate & Property industry.
