Robert Half Part Time Administrative Assistant in East Lansing, Michigan

Description We are in search of a Part Time Administrative Assistant to join our team in the Financial Services industry, located in EAST LANSING, Michigan. This role is primarily focused on providing administrative support and ensuring efficient operation of the office. The person in this role will be handling tasks such as answering inbound calls, data entry and email correspondence. This is a contract opportunity that offers a long-term engagement.

Responsibilities

• Handle inbound and outbound calls, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.

• Organize and maintain accurate customer records, ensuring data is updated and accessible.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for data entry, email correspondence, and scheduling appointments.

• Collaborate with internal staff to manage paperwork related to financial transactions.

• Assist in organizing fundraising drives, including sending communications to employees and tracking incoming information and donations.

• Work on-site, with potential for occasional remote work as needed.

• Facilitate smooth operation of the office, contributing to a collaborative work environment.

• Support managerial staff, stepping in to fill gaps and ensure continuity in the office.

• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency.

• Monitor customer accounts and action as necessary. Requirements • Possession of strong customer service skills, including the ability to manage and respond to different customer situations with a strong sense of urgency.

• Proficiency in answering inbound calls and making outbound calls in a professional and courteous manner.

• Demonstrated ability to manage email correspondence effectively and efficiently.

• Proficiency in data entry with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Demonstrated ability to schedule appointments and manage calendars effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience or familiarity with the financial services industry will be advantageous.
