Your Responsibilities
As a Software Engineer for John Deere in East Moline, IL, you will:
Develop, code, configure, and test programs and systems applications using Java, AWS, Spring, Jenkins, DB2, HANA and PostgreSQL technologies;
Evaluate and implement enhancement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of software applications;
Analyze assignments and determines software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives;
Execute necessary documentation as needed;
Collaborate with other relevant stakeholders and team members to ensure that features meet business needs;
Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development and documentation;
Follow Agile software design methodology for software configuration and development; provide production support of the system.
Must live within normal commuting distance of the worksite. Remote work permitted 1 day per week.
What Skills You Need
1 year of experience in design, develop, test, and troubleshoot Enterprise level software applications based on tools and technology stack such as JavaScript frameworks like React, Java, NodeJS, Python, and HTML5 based web applications
1 year of experience in design, develop, test, and troubleshoot Enterprise level software applications based on cloud technology including Amazon Web Services
1 year of experience in create, optimize, and support databases and database technologies such as SQL, SAP HANA and PostgreSQL
1 year of experience in play an active role on a project team following Agile methodology and scrum standards to collaborate on technical and product knowledge with team members
Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field plus 1 year related experience.
