Aerotek is hiring a Shipping Clerk (East Moline)

Job Description

The Shipping Clerk will assign and track locations for all orders, identify and prepare orders ready for shipment. This role will float between East Moline and Davenport while coordinating a team of 7-10 people. Forklift experience is required, along with proficiency in computers and shipping/receiving sheets. This role is primarily based in East Moline and focuses more on computer and Excel tasks, but will fill in on the floor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Accurately process customer orders for shipment

• Schedule inbound and outbound trucks

• Maintain reports and assist with shipping-related inquiries

• Pick orders as needed

• Assign and track locations for orders

• Utilize Excel spreadsheets to organize and track orders

• Notify shipping department of orders ready to ship using shipping logs

• Audit materials loaded onto trucks and truckloads prior to shipment

• Book truckloads and troubleshoot material problems

• Prepare bills of lading

• Receive raw materials

• Maintain organization of orders and shipping locations

• Create and print labels

• Create and update work orders

• Assist with scanning and paperwork

• Work with customer service and order entry on requests

• Expedite shipments

Work Environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Moline, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00
