Behind the Design Lead Sales: Interior Design in East Orange, New Jersey

Are you a sales maverick with a passion for interior design and experience in in-home sales? Come lead our dynamic, established team as we transform homes with beautiful window treatments and elegant awnings. We're seeking a talented Lead Sales guru to join our successful, decades-strong business and take charge of helping clients elevate their luxury spaces high-end, customized solutions.

What You'll Do: You’ll serve as a design advisor for our clients, guiding them through the selection of premium window treatments and awnings with focused precision. You’ll leverage your expertise in sales strategy, client management, and window treatment knowledge to ensure each project is executed with excellence from start to finish.

  • Competitive Compensation: Base pay of $18/hour.

  • First Year Earning Potential: $70,000+ with commission included.

  • Year 2+ Earning Potential: $100,000+ with commission included.

  • Leader Sales Training: Receive 90 days of paid training to refine your skills and set you up for ongoing success!

  • Location: This is a fully in-person role M-F, either at the showroom or in-home appointments. Occasionally, flexibility for weekend and evening appointments for our customers will be necessary.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven Sales Leader: You have a track record of hitting and exceeding sales goals, especially in in-home sales or design consultation. While we prefer window treatment sales experience, candidates with closet, construction sales, or a similar sales process experience will be considered.

  • Interior Design Expert: Your passion for enhancing living spaces shines through in your work, and you enjoy guiding clients toward the perfect design solution.

  • Exceptional Communicator: You know how to build strong client relationships and collaborate effectively with a team.

  • Driven & Goal-Oriented: You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are motivated to succeed.

  • Customer-First Mindset: You're focused on delivering a superior experience to every client, every time.

  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: You excel at managing multiple projects while ensuring no detail is overlooked.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, network at home shows, and expand your reach through referrals and partnerships with designers, builders, and past clients.

  • Sales Strategy: Conduct in-home consultations, present premium products, and offer expert recommendations to fit each client’s style and space.

  • Closing Sales: Confidently close deals, knowing you’ve provided the best design solutions for your clients.

  • Project Management: Oversee projects from consultation to installation, ensuring clear communication and timely deliveries.

  • Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and installers, and follow up post-installation to ensure satisfaction.

  • Creative Promotion: Utilize social media and other marketing strategies to showcase your work and generate new leads.
