JOB DESCRIPTION:An Activity Leader conducts recreational activities for high-functioning residents, whether it’s through activity groups or one-on-one activity therapy. Under the supervision of the activity's director, this position also assists in planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing various levels of activities, amongst other daily operational tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Activities Director in carrying out the activity programs for the residents, families, and public

• Maintain activities records

• Transport residents to and from various activities

• Assist in a variety of fun and engaging events that help to create a more energetic atmosphere for our residents

• Greet families and guests as they enter the facilities

• Other responsibilities as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 17 years of age; high school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Self-motivated

• Excellent customer service skills

• Physically able to transport residents in wheelchairs

• Ability to read and understand work assignments, as well as report verbally and provide written documentation as necessary

• Able to perform tasks while upholding high standards of quality, cleanliness, and kindness
