Aspen Aerogels® is a rapidly growing aerogel technology company founded in 2001 to capitalize on patented advances in aerogel manufacturing. The Material Handler is responsible for moving material and tooling throughout the Production Department using a fork truck.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver mandrels to Production lines.

  • Transport blankets to Finishing.

  • Weigh blankets using an electronic scale, record weight.

  • Provide lines with separator.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior fork truck experience is highly preferred.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Frequently required to stand

  • Frequently required to walk

  • Occasionally required to sit

  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity

  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl

  • Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)

  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts

  • Occasionally works around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals

  • Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions

  • Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)

  • While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually loud

  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs pounds
