Job Title: Utilities Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

The Utility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for completing assigned maintenance duties to ensure customer, team member, and vendor satisfaction. The Utility Maintenance Mechanic does this by performing onsite maintenance for production equipment by completing breakdown and preventative maintenance on all filling, packaging, processing, and palletizing equipment. The Utility Maintenance Mechanic will diagnose, repair, and replace industrial equipment in a fast-paced production environment. The Utility Maintenance Mechanic completes these functions to support the manufacturing of dairy-related products.

Hard Skills

  • Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions

  • Maintaining and repairing machinery

  • Reading blueprints, schematics, and diagrams

  • Repairing and calibrating hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies

  • Testing electro-mechanical assemblies

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 880 Hour(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Syracuse, New York.

Work Environment

Normally protected from weather and temperature changes - possibly exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions does exist. May be subject to exposure to ingredients used in the manufacturing of food products including allergens. May be subject to exposure to chemicals involved in the manufacturing and sanitation of a food processing facility.
