Hidden Level Manufacturing Engineer in East Syracuse, New York

Position Overview:

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing manufacturing processes and systems through all stages of the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement Manufacturing IT systems and MES support strategies (Deltek Costpoint, TIP QA/SFE)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate new product releases

  • Execute process planning and implement engineering change orders

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing methods, operation sequences, and processes

  • Create and maintain process documentation and production work instructions for new and existing products

  • Analyzes process, production data and quality indicators to determine root causes and improve workflows

  • Use structured problem-solving techniques and statistical methods to support data driven analysis and decisions

  • Utilize lean principles, formulate and implement strategies that streamline operations, enhance productivity, and reduce costs

  • Perform time studies and estimate manufacturing costs; make recommendations for relevant tooling and process improvements

  • Perform process validation and qualification activities

  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support for production activities

  • Investigate and resolve production, quality, and equipment issues

  • Qualify test fixtures and equipment to ensure accurate results

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

  • Experience with tooling and fixtures for testing RF and digital printed circuit board assemblies

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in reading mechanical CAD drawings, 3D models, and schematics

  • Experience with tooling and fixtures for testing RF and digital printed circuit board assemblies

  • Knowledge of PCBA (RF and Digital), wire/cable, and final assembly processes

  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems, preferably TIP QA/SFE

  • Lean/Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt certification preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prefer basic proficiency in MATLAB and Python Scripting/Programming

Compensation and Benefits: Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, and disability insurance. The company also provides a remote or hybrid work environment and potential stock options.

Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $88,000 to $110,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
