Diary Farmers of America Inc. Summer 2025 Agronomy Intern (New York) in East Syracuse, New York

Location: this internship will consist of daily travel to farms in the state of New York and surrounding areas. Intern must have a fully operational and reliable personal vehicle to use for travel; standard mileage and travel reimbursement will be provided.

Internship will be during the months of summer 2025, but has opportunity to begin in April 2025, if available.

Primary Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Perform seed emergence scoring on various
  • Perform plant tissue testing with LeafTech technology tool on designated plots within a given territory
  • Analyze and prepare LeafTech data for farm delivery
  • Assist in trial plot management alongside an agronomy manager
  • Travel to various farm locations and perform testing protocols
  • Record Keeping assistance to agronomy manager and farms
  • Work with intern group to build and deliver a presentation on a designed topic

The qualified candidate will be enrolled in an undergraduate or technical school program with a degree focus in Agronomy, Plant Science, Business Management, Animal Science or related field.
