Job Title: Packaging Engineer

Job Description

As a Packaging Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation and management of the Packaging Bill of Materials for new and existing products, including artwork updates, material changes, and new tertiary pack outs. You will request and create item codes, initiate BOMs, manage pack standards and range boards, develop tertiary packaging, and handle artwork management. Additionally, you will be involved in color development, project management, packaging specifications, and engineering & testing tasks. This role requires multitasking across various packaging projects with limited supervision and managing strict timeline due dates for all required packaging actions. You will also manage Value Analysis projects and maintain updated specifications.

Hard Skills

  • Specification documents

  • Bill of materials

  • CAPE Pallet software

  • ERP systems like MAPICS and SAP

  • Packaging lab testing

Soft Skills

  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects

  • Strong communication and coordination skills

  • Detail-oriented and precise

  • Proactive in handling tasks with limited supervision

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 12 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in East Windsor, New Jersey.
