Shop Welder

Pay : $20 - $25/hour

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Shop Welder to join our team in East York, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG and Stick welding and fabrication, with the ability to work on various projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and Stick welding on various metals.

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings.

• Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components.

• Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet quality standards.

• Structural steel welding on beams and columns .

• Miscellaneous metal welding such as railings, staircases, and cat walks.

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.

Qualifications

• Certification in welding from an accredited institution.

• Minimum of 2 years of welding experience.

• Proficiency in MIG and Stick welding techniques.

• Experience in welding miscellaneous metals such as railings, staircases, and cat walks.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Strong attention to detail and quality.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The Shop Welder will be in the shop 80% of the time, with potential of working out in the field. Candidates must have reliable transportation to be able to get themselves to and from work, or drive out into the field to perform structural steel welding, and steel erection.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00
