Astro Manufacturing & Design Business Development Associate in Eastlake, Ohio

We are looking to hire additional team members that are reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to grow!

Summary of Position:

As a representative of Astro Manufacturing, you will prospect and develop leads as well as establish relationships with current customers. Working closely with the engineering team, successfully and expediently process customer requests for quotes (RFQs) resulting in purchase orders (POs). Address and resolve any external/internal issues that could impact organization's goals of 100% on time shipment and customer satisfaction.

Job Duties:

Prospecting - researching and qualifying new leads and opportunities under the direction of management

  • Review and forward Customer Purchase Orders on a timely basis
  • Process Requests for Quote for own or other assigned accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries as required
  • Ensure all quotes are priced within company parameters
  • Process information for new customer set-up
  • Interface with customers (follow ups, general inquiry, or handling issues)
  • Providing support and backup to Account Executives when they are not in the office
  • Create/run reports necessary to evaluate variances on customer orders as required
  • Alert necessary parties immediately of any customer issues
  • Prepare customer Quotes using the standardized template
  • Reconciliation of Purchase Order and Jobs...schedules, quantities
  • Work with the assigned Customer Quality Engineer(s) as required
  • Maintain the Scheduled Shipment Report for assigned accounts, and report on schedules/dollars
  • Researching and qualifying new leads
  • Closing sales and achieving sales targets
  • Keeping up with product and service information and updates
  • Other duties as required

     

Position Requirements:

  • Successful record of closing sales
  • 1-3 years of experience working in B2B sales, manufacturing, or similar industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and practices preferred
  • Organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PPT, Word)/Ability to quickly pick up proprietary ERP system
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work effectively with people
  • Must be respectful and display a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated with ability to achieve targets
