The Quality Technician will perform a variety of quality functions throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with both customer and regulatory standards. These duties will range from physical inspection of products to maintenance of documentation and support of Continuous Improvement initiatives.

An ideal Quality candidate will have experience with both Quality Assurance and Quality Control within a manufacturing environment, preferably with precision machined components. The ability to read and understand engineering drawings is a must, with a particular emphasis on strong GD&T comprehension.

Job Duties:

  • Inspection of product: Typically, 1st piece, in-process, and receiving inspections, with Final Inspection as needed to support business needs. Perform follow up actions for non-conforming product such as identification and segregation of affected product.
  • Calibration and setting of gages.
  • Assist in identifying and correcting areas in need of improvement. Participate in corrective actions.
  • Assist with preparation, completion, and submission of certifying documentation such Certificates of Conformance, PPAPs, and FAIRs.
  • Assist in providing guidance and training as needed to production associates.
  • Help facilitate and perform process audits and annual ISO audits.
  • Assist in maintaining the company's quality system documentation. Revise and control quality documents based on internal and external changes.
  • Help ensure the company complies with ISO accreditation requirements.
  • Other necessary tasks as directed by the Quality Manager.

Position Requirements:

  • Experience with precision hand measuring equipment
  • Experience working within Quality Management Systems that are compliant to industry standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing
  • 3+ years of experience in Quality or a complementary role.
  • Ability to multitask and react to a dynamic work environment.
  • Team-oriented with a drive for Continuous Improvement.
  • Competence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to interact and communicate at all levels with employees and customers.
