MYERS CONTROLLED POWER, LLC Engineered - Wiring Diagram Specialist in Easton, Pennsylvania

Job Purpose

Create and revise electrical wiring diagram packages.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Develop electrical wiring diagrams per industry standards and specifications.

· Release approved wiring diagrams to production.

· Revise drawing packages per customer comments and re-submit for approval.

· Communicate discrepancies or required corrections to elevations, three-lines, schematics and/or bill of materials.

· Establish and communicate device location with mechanical engineering.

· Support production during assembly/wiring process.

· Maintain clean and safe work area.

· All duties assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or management.

· Responsible for understanding and executing Company goals and objectives while actively contributing to the cohesiveness of the team.

Qualifications

· Education

o 2 year Associate's Degree in Engineering related field, or minimum of one year of switchgear wiring drawing drafting work experience.

o Non-Degreed designers must have equivalent combination of education, training, and verifiable experience.

· Experience

o MV switchgear (5kV to 38kV) wiring design.

o Relay racks/cabinets wiring design

o Knowledge of best drafting practices

· Specialized knowledge

o National Electrical Code (NEC), Utility Electric Service Requirements (ESR), ANSI C37, UL.

· Skills

o Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office and AutoCAD skills.

o Complete assignments accurately and with attention to detail.

o Strong computer skills.

· Abilities

o Able to clearly communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of management verbally and in writing.

o Read and write in standard English.

o Demonstrated time management skills.

o Comprehension of electrical three-line and control schematics.

o Analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines.

o Review work for accuracy.

o Work under pressure to meet close deadlines.

o Demonstrated time management skills.

o Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, verbal, or diagrammatic form.

o Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

o Written and spoken English

· Professional Certification(s)

o Associate in Computer-Aided Drafting a plus, but not required.

Working Conditions

Temperature-controlled office with moderate noise level. Occasional exposure to manufacturing area with dust, noise, moving machinery, and humidity. Personal protective equipment as required.

Physical Requirements

Office position. Spends the majority of the work shift sitting. Generally requires clear vision at 20 inches or less for reading. May include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 25 lbs. with no assistance.
