Robert Half Human Resources (HR) Manager in Eaton Rapids, Michigan

Description

We are offering an opportunity for a Human Resources (HR) Manager in the Manufacturing industry, based in the Lansing, Michigan area. The HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role will be the go-to person for all employee-related issues and will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.

• Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.

• Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital.

• Manage the recruitment and selection process.

• Nurture a positive working environment.

• Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.

• Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.

• Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics.

• Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Human Resources, ideally within a Manufacturing environment

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Expertise in managing Benefit Functions

• Strong verbal and written Communication skills

• Knowledge of Compliance laws and regulations related to HR

• Experience in handling Employee Relations

• Proficiency in Hiring Processes and recruitment strategies

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred

• Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g. PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus

• Ability to develop clear and fair company policies

• Excellent decision-making and strategic thinking abilities

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to oversee the work of the HR team.
