Staff Accountant role within the Medical Benefit Management business in OptumHealth. MBM provides a comprehensive suite of products to address high-cost, high-leverage conditions through utilization management, care management and access to networks of providers specializing in chronic physical health management, transplant, end-stage kidney and several other products. The business is expected to have significant growth in the coming years due to new products and expansion.

If you are located in Minnesota, you will have the flexibility to Work from home and the office in this hybrid role* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Maintain general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports

  • Reconcile, analyze and review general ledger accounts in preparation for month end close

  • Analyze and prepare financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position

  • Assist with or lead the month end quarterly end close process for assigned businesses or groups

In this role, you'll need to use all your education and experience as you work with an elite team of accounting and finance professionals who are writing the history of our organization and guiding our success as a global industry leader.

Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel as well as proficiency in other Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or related
