Commercial Leadership Development Program Requisition ID: 40941 Job Location(s): Eden Prairie, MN, US Job Description The Commercial Leadership Development Program (CLDP) at Danfoss Power Solutions is a two-year rotational program designed to strengthen our Sales pipeline by recruiting high-potential talent and accelerating their foundational knowledge of Sales and Danfoss Power Solutions. Through this program, participants gain a broad range of on-the-job experiences that prepare them to become future leaders at Danfoss. Throughout the program, participants receive mentorship from peers, assignment leaders, and business partners to support their learning and growth within the team. The program consists of three eight-month rotations in sales operations, sales development, and account management, providing participants with hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end sales process. Participants will also collaborate with global teams, gain exposure to cross-functional roles, and establish valuable connections with leaders across Danfoss Power Solutions. The program is based in Eden Prairie, MN, and includes professional growth opportunities through industry events, site visits, in-person and virtual learning sessions, and networking opportunities with commercial leaders across the business. Participants contribute to Danfoss' sustainable transformation efforts while developing essential skills for technical sales roles. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates transition into roles such as Account Manager, Sales Development Manager, or Sales Application Engineer, positioning them for successful careers in commercial leadership. The two-year program will begin in February 2025. Relocation for this role is available. Job Responsibilities Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to: Develop and strengthen customer relationships, maximize sales to assigned accounts, and build a strong pipeline of new profitable opportunities. Assist in technical, quality, and sales activities to support overall business objectives. Work on sales and marketing projects, such as market analysis, opportunity management, pricing, customer experience improvement, project management, brand/product awareness, product launches, and change management. Support Distribution/OEM sales channel management to drive profitable growth and enhance relationships with sales partners. Prepare forecasts, sales and cost budgets, and pricing strategies for new products. Develop team objectives and drive a metric-based process that fosters performance and accountability. Earn the International Fluid Power Society (IFPS) certification. Travel Requirement: Up to 20%. The ideal candidate possesses these skills. Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering. Master's preferred. Minimum of two years of relevant experience Strong drive for a career in technical sales Energetic, eager to learn, with an interest in engineering/technology Ability to work with international teams in a global matrix organization Customer-centric mindset with excellent service skills Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written All applicantsmust be authorized to work in the United States.
