We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Credit and Collections Specialist. This role involves processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, and resolving customer inquiries within the industry. The successful individual will also monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise records of customer credit

• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and effective manner

• Monitor customer accounts and identify overdue payments

• Report regularly on collection activity

• Utilize knowledge of collection techniques to achieve targets

• Provide high-quality customer service

• Use MS Office Suite to manage and organize work

• Handle business to business collections when required

• Understand and apply knowledge on salary structures.

Requirements • Proficient in customer service and able to maintain strong communication with customers

• Experience in reporting and able to provide clear and concise reports

• Knowledgeable of collection processes and able to effectively manage overdue payments

• Familiar with credit systems and able to accurately assess creditworthiness

• Understanding of salary structures and able to use this knowledge in recovery efforts

• Able to handle sensitive financial information with discretion and integrity

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate credit applications and determine creditworthiness

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting

• Excellent negotiation skills to effectively recover overdue payments

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain positive relationships with colleagues

• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks

• Excellent problem-solving skills to address issues in the credit and collections process.
