Oxford Global Resources Database Specialist in Eden Prairie, Minnesota
Summary: Maintain database by planning, monitoring, and improving performance. Project Details:
- Plan database upgrades by maintaining, evaluating, and improving a transaction processing model
- Assess database performance by developing a protocol for measurement of results and identification of problem areas
- Support database performance by monitoring database performance; evaluating and resolving processing and programming problems; designing database management tools; answering user questions
- Secure database by preparing access and control policies and procedures; implementing disaster recovery procedures
- Support application design by contributing expertise to applications, operations, and technical support teams
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Job Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in technology field or 4+ similar years of experience
- Proficiency with technology in the workplace, including MS Office, databases and web-based applications
- Customer relationship database maintenance/integrity experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the capacity to interact with diverse groups and work successfully in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and excel in problem-solving
- Ability to communicate complex data in a simple way to facilitate decision-making.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision
- Ability to deal with sensitive information with a high level of trust, tact, and confidentiality
