Director of Procurement Leader, APi HVAC Services

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Director of Procurement to support multiple operating companies and locations within the HVAC division. This position requires a leader who emphasizes team member safety, satisfaction and operational excellence. You will be responsible for leading procurement activities across the organization to achieve cost savings and improved service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy : Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the division’s overall goals and objectives. Focus on achieving cost savings, improved service levels, and risk mitigation.

  • Supplier Relationships : Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions to obtain the best value for the company.

  • Inventory Management : Oversee the procurement and inventory management of all necessary supplies, parts, and equipment needed for fleet operations and other company functions.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with various departments to understand their procurement needs and provide tailored solutions.

  • Team Member Engagement : Foster a positive work environment, prioritize team member well-being, and maintain open communication with team members to ensure high morale and job satisfaction.

  • Contract Management : Manage and administer procurement contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.

  • Sourcing & Purchasing : Lead the sourcing and purchasing activities, including the evaluation of supplier proposals, conducting cost analyses, and making recommendations for supplier selection.

  • Cost Analysis : Conduct regular cost analyses to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Technology & Systems : Utilize procurement and inventory management systems to streamline processes, track expenditures, and ensure transparency and accountability.

    Qualifications

  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPM, CPP) are a plus.

  • Experience : Minimum of 8 years of experience in procurement, with a proven track record of managing operations across multiple locations and companies.

  • Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members.

  • People-First Approach : Demonstrated commitment to team member well-being, satisfaction, and professional development.

  • Technical Skills : Proficiency in fleet management and procurement software, GPS systems, and other relevant technologies.

  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for making data-driven decisions.

  • Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.

  • Travel : Willingness to travel to various company locations to oversee operations and engage with teams on-site.

    Supervision:

  • 3-5 direct reports
