Volunteers of America National Services is seeking a Director of Quality (Senior Living) to oversee the Senior Living division both regionally and on-site quality of metrics, process improvement and high-quality compliant resident care. Schedule: M-F 8:30 AM-5:30 PM *Remote Occasional Travel required to Senior Living regions which include MN, VA, FL and CO. Benefit Highlights: * 403(b) Retirement Plan * Career scholarships; * Continuing career education and leadership programs; * Dental and Vision Insurance * Paid Time Off (Vacation, Holiday & Sick Days) About the Job The Director of Quality oversees the implementation and maintenance of an effective quality and compliance program for the Volunteers of America National Services (VOANS) Senior Living division. In partnership with the accountable Executive Directors, the Director of Quality ensures that each VOANS facility operates in compliance with Federal and State requirements. The Director of Quality supervises regional and on-site quality personnel and supports each facility to monitor quality metrics, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement initiatives to maintain high-quality, compliant resident care. Essential Functions: * Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the Senior Living Quality and Compliance Program across all VOANS residential care facilities. Works in coordination and partnership with facility leadership, quality/compliance personnel, QAPI committees, and others to ensure the effective operation of the program at each location. * Develop and implement standardized systems and processes to support the QAPI program and document quality improvement activities following State and Federal requirements and professional quality improvement standards. * Oversee and support the collection and monitoring of quality data. Establishes data-driven quality indicators and benchmarks to holistically assess performance and identify opportunities for improvement including value-based metrics. * Establish effective systems to prevent, detect, and correct regulatory non-compliance and fraud, waste, and abuse. Develop and implement mechanisms to comprehensively assess compliance with regulatory requirements. Establishes and implements a dynamic monitoring and auditing work plan based on assessed risks and oversees the mock survey process. * Establish systems to document compliance activities including investigation of issues, identification of root causes, corrective interventions, and monitoring for effectiveness. Participates or leads quality/compliance-related investigations and root cause analyses as needed. * Develop and maintain policies and procedures in alignment with VOANS standards to support compliant operations. * Remain alert to changes in applicable regulations. Lead initiatives to align with changing requirements and communicate with/educate applicable stakeholders. * Create and coordinate education training programs designed to improve clinical abilities/knowledge and improve the safety and quality of service delivery. * Support strong organizational communication and cross-facility learning. Generate routine reporting to keep stakeholders apprised of quality activities and performance. * Actively participate as an engaged member of the Performance Excellence team. In coordination with the team, supports the achievement of organizational objectives. Works in close collaboration with the PACE Quality Director to establish standardization where appropriate. Required Qualifications: * Strong ability to create, build, and maintain productive relationships at all levels. * Minimum of five (5) years of direct quality and compliance experience working in the nursing home/residential care industry. Proven experience leading a team of professionals. * Must have a valid driver's license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. * Minimum Requirement: Bachelor's degree in the field of healthcare or healthcare administr tion. Preferred Qualifications: * While not required, having a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification is highly advantageous. * Registered Nurse (RN) At VOANS, we celebrate sharing, encouraging and embracing diversity.
