Tennant Company's Marketing and Sales Enablement team is looking for an Analyst who will be responsible for gathering and interpreting data to help the team make informed business decisions about products, markets, and customers to reach different target markets. They will also identify trends and patterns within the data sets and provide recommendations based on the data results. The analyst will collaborate with the North America Sales team and the Global Marketing Team as needed on on-going or long-term projects. Responsibilities Provide timely, accurate and insightful analysis, reporting, and presentations on regular and as needed cadences. Work on analytical projects to help leadership understand detailed information about the business. Produce meaningful reports and analysis relating to marketing activities, performance and other areas that support the business. Provide advanced analysis, trend reporting and ad hoc data related activities; effectively communicate insights to leaders in a clear and concise manner. Understand, extract, validate/correct and define data from multiple internal and external sources working with IT as needed. Collaborate with IT business partners by prioritizing and defining requirements for future development and testing data elements. Create or modify dashboards and update or enhance existing reports that help end users better understand the metrics and data. Join data elements from various source systems partnering with IT where necessary; build data sets that allow for various types of aggregation and analysis. Develop and refine sustainable processes including automated data and reporting to reduce manual work and improve efficiency. Provide analysis of customer buying activity as needed for marketing planning. Provide actionable market and customer insights to support key strategic questions and initiatives, including forecasting. Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports. Required Experience and Education Bachelor's degree in Data Analysis, Math, Business Analytics, or similar major with 3-5 years of marketing or financial business analyst (or similar) experience. Knowledge of demand generation principles and general marketing strategies. Previous Analytical experience including data mining, analysis and reporting. Strong analytical and problem solving/troubleshooting skills. Experience creating and presenting ad hoc data-related analysis. Technical Skills: Advanced MS Office skills with strong focus on Excel. Experience or understanding of SQL and ability to create queries to extract data. Knowledge of Business Intelligence systems, Power BI or other. Proficiency in SAP preferred. Knowledge of Adobe Analytics is preferred. Required Interpersonal and Behavioral Skills Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing to non-technical audiences. Intellectual curiosity and detail-oriented, with a drive for accuracy. Ability to self-manage execution of activities against deadlines across multiple work-streams, providing proactivecommunication and demonstrating effective time management skills. Ability to accurately identify, document and recommend solutions to business problems. Exceptional problem-solving capabilities while effectively working in a dynamic team environment.
