As an Oracle Compensation Engineer/Business Analyst your role will be a combination of project management, business liaison, and technical/functional skills. You will be joining a dynamic team that addresses complex business rules, requirements and challenges in supporting a large organization with many nuances. You will also work independently using problem-solving skills, innovation and creativity to drive solutions. The role will require following standard operating procedures in a broad technical ecosystem with the ability to be artistic in driving vision for a great employee experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • COE Collaboration & Support: Work very closely with the Compensation COE in a collaborative manner with a high level of service and SLA expectations

  • Requirements & Business Processes: Gain a very detailed understanding of the requirements and processes in the compensation space

  • Technical and Functional Configuration: Support the set up and configuration of Compensation/Comp Planner and CoreHR related tables such as, manage grades, grade rates and compensation zones

  • Oracle Vendor Management: Prepare for and conduct Oracle release notes review meetings, submit service requests and work with Oracle on issue resolution

  • Testing: Conduct regression testing, SIT testing, UAT testing

  • Cross Module Collaboration: Manage the production migration schedule for Compensation in collaboration with the Oracle Core HR, Payroll, OTL, Talent, Learn modules and Tertiary applications

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience with UDT configs

  • 3+ years of experience with managing grades, grade rates and compensation zones

  • 3+ years of experience in unique Comp module configurations with a solid base in standard compensation worksheet configurations, updating column configs for rounding rules, dynamic columns, external data fields, cross plan reference fields and Compensation ESS Batch jobs

  • 2+ years of experience with eligibility profile configurations related to participation rate eligibilities

  • Ability to work 8 AM - 5 PM CT Time Zone schedule during comp season (Nov-March)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI)

  • Experience with BIP Reporting and RTF Templates

  • Experience with HDL and HSDL

  • Experience with fast formulas

  • Proven knowledge and use of Value sets and SQL troubleshooting

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
