We are currently seeking intern/co-op candidates to learn with us as they engage in a variety of hands-on projects alongside our high-performing and authentic Operations team. Position Summary Manufacturing design/development positions offer the opportunity to develop, implement, and improve manufacturing methods, systems, and processes to produce a high-quality product that meets design specifications at optimal cost. This Sustaining Engineering Co-op will: determine requirements of manufacturing operations to specify equipment, fixturing, and process parameters; develop plans to evaluate process repeatability and stability through equipment qualification and process validation. continuously improve manufacturing methods, optimize product performance and reduce manufacturing costs. assist with detailed cost analyses of particular manufacturing changes. provide engineering support to manufacturing operations on a routine basis. address product-related issues arising on the production floor. recommend appropriate staffing levels to support manufacturing requirements. define and generate all required documentation in support of manufacturing products and processes, including engineering protocols, reports, manufacturing instructions, and procedures; and ensure compliance with GMPs and internal protocol. Training to be Provided Students will be exposed to working with various operations and product support departments within Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT). They will learn key requirements that need to be followed in a regulated environment such as the medical device industry. Training may cover relevant aspects of medical device development procedures, along with more specific aspects related to BMT products. Additionally, our co-ops benefit from a buddy program, career development programming, and opportunities to build their professional networks virtually and in-person with BMT professionals. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor's degree student with a sophomore or junior-level class standing Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace, Biomedical, Engineering Mechanics or a related concentration. Minimum 2.8 out of 4.0 cumulative GPA Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for sponsorship for an employment visa in the future Able to participate full-time (40 hours/week) Ability to use analytical techniques and tools, e.g., debuggers, logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, etc. Preferred: LabView experience is a plus Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work independently with team members from various disciplines, e.g., hardware, mechanical, quality, regulatory, etc. Team player with effective verbal and written communication skills. Technical writ ng skills, ability to develop reports for technology development Job Location Eden Prairie, Minnesota (no relocation or housing assistance available) Term/Hours Spring/Summer/Fall of 2025 start, 2-3 semester rotation, can be consecutive or non-consecutive semesters. May start dates are preferred, but other start dates will be considered.
