Position Description The Systems Engineer II will be a key member of new product development team at BMT who will apply knowledge of systems engineering to solve complex interdisciplinary problems. You will be integral in creating system solutions that meet needs of the customers. This role will involve working with cross functional teams on requirements definition, architecture development and system verification activities. You will have the opportunity to contribute to projects in all phases of product development: from early phase development to market release.The position will be focused on development of product requirements and other design inputs, fixtures and test methods for next generation diagnostic medical devices, systems, and consumables. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Evaluate, develop, implement, maintain and improve system engineering processes including design inputs, test system engineering, tools, & test equipment, including custom test hardware and software, and all related design documentation. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop stakeholder needs for new product development Ensure the logical and systematic translation of user and project needs into a comprehensive set of system and sub-system requirements in collaboration with the technical design leaders Create and maintain traceability of requirements documentation Execute multiple systems engineering activities in the product development life cycle including identification, planning, monitoring, and executing tasks for entire project Collaborate with cross-functional teams to make appropriate, timely decisions and recommendations that result in the successful completion of major project objectives. Perform system level Verification and Validation activities Provide input supporting submissions to and audits for regulatory bodies and governmental agencies. Use critical thinking and technical knowledge to solve complex system interaction problems Drive systems engineering center of excellence as key discipline across the organization. Perform work in adherence to the Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT) Quality Management System (QMS), including development and maintenance of documentation Commit to fostering and driving an environment and work output based on continuous improvement Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities): Minimum Bachelors' degree in Engineering, or other scientific discipline, preferably electrical, mechanical, control engineering 2+ years of engineering experience Knowledge of the systems development lifecycle Strength in written and verbal communication, judgment, decision making, and critical thinking Ability to grow productive, trusting, and open relationships with functional partners Strong interpersonal and communication skills High degree of organizational skills and high attention to detail Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Ability to develop protocols, conduct system tests and write reports Strong initiative, high energy, and passion about new technologies Preferred: Graduate degree in Engineering (EE, ME or Systems Engineering) or another scientific discipline. 2+ years of research and development experience Experience with product concept development, customer interaction, systems engineering, verification of engineering requirements, and validation of customer needs/design requirements Experien e with risk management and systems engineering processes Ability to translate needs and requirements clearly and accurately Awareness and working knowledge of system-level constraints in all disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, human factors and software Other: Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented with the team.
