About the role:
Split position between 2 schools
Locations: Edgewater, CO & Lakewood, CO
Schools: 2 days at Elementary School and 3 days at Open School
Elementary school is a dual language building with students who speak Spanish. There is another full time bilingual SLP in the building. The ideal SLP doesn't need to be bilingual for this role but experience with dual language learners is a plus!
Open School (also known as informal schools or open classrooms) is PreK-High School but most of caseload is with elementary age students. What is an open school? Students graduate from this school on the basis of demonstrated competencies rather than the traditional "seat time" and grades. Students are not expected to graduate in a specified time period but expected to remain at the school until sufficient personal, social, and intellectual growth has taken place.
Hours: Monday - Friday approximately 7:40am - 2:15pm
Dates: August 12, 2024 - May 23, 2025
