Our Internship Program
Our internship program is a starting point for a career journey at Burlington and here is a peek at what you can expect:
A 10-week summer program working out of our Distribution Centers where you’ll work side by side with industry leaders responsible for supporting a robust warehouse operation.
Hands-on experienceand involvement with Burlington’sproject lifecycleincludingthe design, planning, and installation of various projects aimed at enhancing productivity, reducing costs, maximizingoutput, and ensuring workplace safety.
Directmentorshipfrom an experiencedProject Management Engineer who will be your “buddy” for support and guidance throughoutyour program journey.
A 100% on-site experience that will require an ability to be on-site every day at your assigned DC location.The schedule may vary throughout the week and could include weekends and/or evening hours to support project needs.Please note – this job is posted in multiple locations, please apply to only one.
Our Day in the Life of an Engineering Project Management Intern
Identifyproject scopes, goals, and deliverables while learning and applying project management processes and methodologies.
Assist with planning and executing various projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, on budget, and on schedule.
Develop project plans, track team assignments, and monitorproject progress.
Attend project status meetings and contribute to progress reportingformanagement.
Partner withsenior management and cross-functional teams to obtain project requirements and to support project goals.
Collect and analyze data tosupport project development, implementation,and execution.
Our Engineering Project Management Interns
Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management,or similarly related field).
Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree between December 2025 and June 2026.
Affinity for process improvement, technical / complex problems,large-scale projects,a fast paced and always evolving environment, and building a career in Distribution, Supply Chain, Logistics.
Data-driven problem-solver who can build and maintain productive partnerships by living our core values.
Ability toreact to project changes andthink critically with high attention to detail and listening, oral, and written communication skills.
A self-starter who takes initiative with a sense of curiosity, adaptability, and courage to always be a student of the business.
Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods in a warehouse environment.
With our Distribution Centers located in New Jersey, reliable transportation is required as each Distribution Center location may or may not be easily accessible by public transportation. Based on the needs of the business, you may need to travel to other Distribution Center locations or area stores that do not match the schedules for public transportation.
Our Compensation and Benefits
An hourly pay of $24 per hour.
