Cassia Donor Database Manager in Edina, Minnesota

Cassia is hiring an experienced Full-Time Donor Database Manager to join our Philanthropy team! Our nonprofit organization provides senior housing, health care, and community-based services to older generations and others in need. In this important role, you will be responsible for donor database administration, gift processing & acknowledgements, the philanthropy liaison to Accounting and IT, overseeing donor database, and integrating data to support all fundraising strategies of the office of Philanthropy. Our philanthropy team truly puts the “fun” in “fund development!”
This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position with a Hybrid schedule working a minimum of 3 days a week at the office in Edina, MN.
Donor Database Manager Responsibilities:
Oversees processing of all donations
Provides technical and strategic leadership in the areas of fundraising systems, gift and biographical data entry, end user support and training, reporting, data analysis and database management.
Primary owner of DonorPerfect software tools and will explore, recommend and carry out queries, data modeling, contact list segmentation and reporting that will underpin development outreach efforts, donor solicitation plans and analysis of outcomes.
Creates training and instruction for DonorPerfect users
Provides reporting on all gift data
Oversees mailing lists to target specific audiences for all fundraising strategies
Ensures that contributions are processed and that meaningful acknowledgements are mailed within two days of receipt; maintain current, accurate gift records in donor database
Collaborates with campuses on donor wall and other public donor recognition opportunities
Develops and implements best practice standard operating procedures for workflow related to donor database, in conjunction with key stakeholders including all sites involved in fundraising as well as accounting department and IT.
Manages vendors who provide donation processing (Softerware, SafeSave) and other services to development department. Researches and implements new vendors and processes as needed to take advantage of improvements in technology and service.

Donor Database Manager Skills and Requirements:
5 years of experience in donor database management and gift stewardship preferred
Knowledge of charitable giving related tax law as it relates to donation receipts
An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate our organization’s mission
Capable of sharing a genuine passion for data integrity and gift stewardship to energize team members and persuade site based staff
High ethical standards as it relates to all work, including the donor bill of rights
Able to maintain an organized schedule of work load
Maintains professional appearance and approach
Able to maintain confidential information
