Purpose:  The Compliance Auditor is an experienced nurse to oversees the primary responsibility of auditing patient clinical records to ensure state and federal compliance.  This position also educates our staff on audit results, issues and concerns.

    Job Description:

  • Adhere to established policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Program to prevent and identify illegal, unethical, or improper documentation.

  • Conduct chart audits.

  • Submit all chart audit finding to the Compliance Officer, Clinical Director, and Administrator.

  • Support day to day operations of the Compliance Program.

  • Identify risk areas and assist in developing, auditing, monitoring, and oversight processes related to identified risks.

  • Assist with the implementation of corrective actions and monitoring in response to identified issues and concerns.

  • Follow monitoring systems and processes for compliance.

  • Ensure Grace staff adhere to hospice conditions of participation as well as any other state and federal hospice guidelines.

  • Ensure good customer service in all interactions with peers, supervisors, staff, and customers.

  • Adhere to the practice of confidentiality regarding patients, families, staff, and the organization.

  • Ensure that Grace Healthcare Services' best practices are incorporated into all job activities/responsibilities.

  • Perform other duties as necessary.

    Qualifications:

  • LPN license required

  • Experience with ensuring company compliance with State & Federal regulations/guidelines

  • Able to handle multiple tasks

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Computer literate in the current version of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
