Hackensack Meridian Health Manager, Unified Communications Operations- Digital Technology Services (DTS) in Edison, New Jersey

The Digital Technology Services (DTS) Manager of Unified Communications Operations will be responsible for leading the evaluation, selection, procurement, installation and decommissioning of all unified communications (UC) services across the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. In collaboration with the Project Management Office (PMO), Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC) and Network teams, this individual will manage the planning, assessment and coordination of UC services project work. These services include but are not limited to data/voice circuits, cellular, messaging, mobile device and pager management, call recording, auto attendant, and other UC capabilities. Partners with vendors to optimize service offerings, minimize costs and provide recommendations that align with the organization's UC strategic direction.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Digital Technology Services (DTS) Manager of Unified Communications Operations at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Manages the planning, coordination and administration of UC services across all HMH facilities.

  • Develops cost savings strategies to minimize spend for the DTS division and leverage contractual rights to consolidate offerings, reduce or terminate services.

  • Reviews UC services and spend across the HMH enterprise to identify technology standardization, optimized use of services, cost savings and vendor partnership opportunities.

  • Coordinates site visits with vendors and facility managers to determine project requirements, resources, and timelines.

  • Performs periodic reviews with vendors to track compliance with contractual obligations and adherence to defined service levels.

  • Participates in the development of enterprise-wide tactical and strategic unified communications planning and execution.

  • Develops business cases and recommendations to modernize UC services aligned with department goals and strategic direction, maintaining supported application levels.

  • Develops annual UC services budget forecast and monitors month-over-month spend.

  • Prioritizes and responds promptly to the needs of the customer.

  • Oversees support ticketing and queue management procedures of incidents, services requests and project tasks. 11. Optimizes procedures for service outage response and resolution.

  • Builds positive relationships with management and staff in all areas.

  • Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to staff.

  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, IT, Telecommunications, Unified Communications, other related IT/health area of study; Or equivalent related work experience may be accepted.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical multi-discipline management environment.

  • Requires leadership skills, judgment, creativity, and comprehensive knowledge of the field.

  • Ability to review specifications and align technology enhancements with strategic direction.

  • Ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Ability to work with minimal direction.

  • Ability to lead projects, manage vendors and build collaborative relationships.

  • Excellent interpersonal, organization and problem solving skills.

  • Proven maturity and strength in team leadership, team building, and communication, coaching, and providing timely essential feedback to others.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Business Management, IT or other related IT/health area of study.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) 4 Foundation certification.
