Description

Robert Half is seeking a part time Payroll Clerk. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be responsible for payroll processing tasks, managing client data, and resolving any payroll related queries. This position will also involve monitoring client accounts and taking necessary actions.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and efficient processing of client payroll

• Maintaining up-to-date records of client payroll details

• Handling payroll for both hourly and salaried employees

• Management and monitoring of client accounts

• Resolving any payroll queries from clients

• Handling payroll tax returns across multiple states

• Working with the in-house payroll system for all payroll related tasks

• Ensuring all service standards and client expectations are met.

Requirements

• Candidate must have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.

• Proficiency in managing payroll for under 100 employees is essential.

• Comprehensive knowledge of payroll taxes is required.

• Strong numerical and analytical skills are necessary.

• Proficiency in using payroll software and other related tools is desirable.

• The candidate should be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in payroll processing.

• Excellent communication skills to interact with employees and address their payroll queries.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding payroll information.

• Must be capable of working independently and meeting tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with federal and state payroll regulations is beneficial.
