DPR Construction Project Manager in Edison, New Jersey
Employer Name: DPR Construction, A General Partnership (DPR Construction) Position: Project ManagerWork location: East Brunswick, NJWage: $154,149.00 - $175,000.00 / per yearJob Duties: Assist in managing the design and building of commercial construction projects utilizing principles of civil construction engineering, life sciences and advanced technologies. Working under the supervision of the Project Executive, will be responsible for managing jobsite operations, financial reporting, document control, procurement and preconstruction, and technical aspects of each project. Specific duties include: • (15%) Preparing work scopes and organizing cost structure; • (15%) Managing project-related scheduling; managing change of orders, including preparation, notification to all relevant parties, and follow up; • (10%) manage weekly construction meetings and follow-through on action items; • (20%) maintenance of all finance related documentation pertaining to each project, and management of billing matters with subcontractors and owners; and • (5%) manage all project related documentation, including all logs, records and safety maintenance, and RFI. Under the direction of the Project Executive, • (10%) manage all areas of procurement: schedule the purchase and delivery of all project related materials, and long lead subcontract items; • (15%) Oversee submission of shop drawings, samples and supplier data, and schedule all subcontractor work; and • (10%) Oversight of technical matters, including detailing and preparing Shop Drawings, participating in job layout, reviewing all subcontractor and vendor work product for contractual compliance and coordination, and serving as point of contact and resolution for all parties regarding conflicts, issues, etc.Minimum Requirements:Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or Project Management, Construction Engineering, or related, and three (3) years of experience in job offered or as a project engineer. Alternate education/experience requirements:In the alternative, employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction or Project Management, Construction Engineering, or related, and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, experience in job offered or as project engineer.Special Requirements: Position requires at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills:1. Design and/or construction in healthcare, life science, advanced technology, higher education or commercial facilities;2. Interfacing with trade contractors regarding subcontract issues;3. Bluebeam;4. Project Management software;5. Primavera P6 scheduling software;6. Autodesk Revit;Reflects base salary.
