The Work

This position is for an engineering planner on the F-35 Training System Support Center (TSSC) team. The TSSC is responsible for the sustainment of the fielded Training System enterprise providing pilot and maintainer training across multiple training locations. The Training System includes classroom infrastructure, courseware, and training devices that support the training mission.

The individual selected for this position will be responsible for a variety of tracking and planning tasks applicable to the sustainment phase of the F35 Training Program. The primary focus will be as a member of the Release Management (RM) team. RM facilitates the implementation of changes to Training Systems products.

As a key member of the Engineering Planner team you will:

- Collaborate with Product Teams to understand the scope of change, change type, effectivity, and schedule.

- Evaluate a change for enterprise effectivity and sustainability and then authorizes its release for use on the Training System

- Verify readiness of delegated change for field release

- Process Release Authorization Notices

- Support release processes with for non-delegated changes.

- Coordination with Aero and JPO counterparts for all change requests.

Additional responsibilities may include support for TSSC Problem Management, Process Improvement, and Earned Value Management.

The position is part of the level 1 TSSC organization located at Eglin AFB, FL. Some travel may be required.

Position is >50% remote, but requires physical presence on-site at Eglin AFB.

This position requires a candidate who is a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Interim Secret security clearance. The role is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Word / PowerPoint / SharePoint / Access

- Familiarity with JIRA/Confluence

- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences, including customers, senior leaders, and cross-functional teams

- Experience with process or engineering changes, schedule revisions and work requirements

Desired Skills:

- Familiarity with the F-35 Program

- Familiarity with change management/configuration management

- Familiarity with agile methodologies.

- Earned Value Management

- Experience working with export controlled data. (TAA/ITAR requirements)

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
