Your tasks as Controller will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Located in El Paso, Texas, this Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Staffing field.
Your responsibilities
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Requirements
- BA/BS in Accounting preferred master's degree
Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes
Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
General ledger experience
Adeptness in account reconciliation
Journal entries experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Collections
General familiarity with W2/W3
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
Skilled with ERP systems
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Previous experience in public accounting is highly valued
Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
Able to manage time well
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
