Major/Essential Functions:

  • Supervise and teach residents and medical students in classroom and clinical settings.

  • Work in close conjunction with 0rthopaedic department chair and PMR faculty to develop a long-term PM&R division strategic plan.

  • Provide patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings affiliated with a Level 1 Trauma Center.

  • Perform outpatient procedures including injections, ultrasound, and EMG.

  • Develop rehabilitation protocols at the UMC of El Paso Hospital for patients requiring rehab services.

  • Engage in advancement of scientific knowledge through research and/or scholarship.

  • Serve the academic community through paiticipations with committee work and other administrative duties.

  • Contribute to the community through academically-related public service complementary to the institutional mission.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations.

  • Adhere to institutional and departmental policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrate professionalism in accordance with the Paul L. Foster School of Medicine's Declaration of Faculty Professional Responsibility.

  • Uphold and promote the value-based culture of TTUHSC El Paso.

  • Emerging or established regional or national reputation for the rank of Associate Professor or higher
