The Contractor Logistic Support contract is looking to staff a Power Systems Engineer in support of the Prime Power Unit (PPU) Systems Engineering Team. The selected candidate must be able to support all Power Generation functions as they pertain to the support of the AN/TPY-2 Radar system. Candidate will provide guidance to the customer/user personnel in establishing continuous operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques in support of the radar system Power Generation.

This position will be based in El Paso, Texas but t he selected candidate must understand that they must be willing and able to travel for related work assignments to include deployment to work locations at various sites both nationally and internationally, sometimes at a moment’s notice. This candidate must have the ability to meet all deployment needs to include passing a physical if required for a specific region should the candidate have to provide OCONUS support.

What You Will Do

  • Analyze equipment failures to determine cause and recommend corrective action.

  • Candidate will be responsible for researching subject-specific data, including engineering data, design specifications and propose changes to impacted Technical Manuals (TM’s).

  • The selected candidate will be based at Ft Bliss, TX and assist the in-maintenance planning and support to include independent assessments, audits, and special inspections of site activities associated with all Prime Power Unit activity.

  • Candidate will be responsible for researching subject-specific data, including engineering data, design specifications and propose changes to impacted Technical Manuals (TM’s).

  • Provide mentorship / training, and engineering support of fielded THAAD teams.

  • Follow sound engineering processes and documentation when providing support.

  • Qualifications You Must Have

  • Active and transferable Secret U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • At least five years’ experience in the troubleshooting and operational checkout of Power generation systems, including knowledge of the safe work practices regarding operation and sustainment of electrical power generation equipment.

  • Typically requires B.S. in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

  • Experience working on several types and power rated diesel generators.

  • Demonstrated experience with the organizational and intermediate Electrical / Mechanical troubleshooting techniques.

  • Possess experience in the depot level sustainment and repair procedures of Power generation equipment (15K, 30k, and 150k diesel generators)

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Demonstrated excellence in past work performance.

  • Must possess strong technical writing and oral communication skills.

  • Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.

  • Logistics experience and ALCS knowledge.

  • Experience with MS Windows operating system and MS Office products.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
