As a Raytheon Digital Technology (DT) Program Execution – ASDS (Air & Space Defense Systems) Section Manager , you will collaborate and partner with a diverse cross-section of DT, engineering, cybersecurity, and program leadership partners, in support of one of the Mission Solutions & Payloads Strategic Business Unit based in El Segundo, CA.

In this role the leader will be responsible for leading a team consisting of Systems Administrators split across multiple sections to enable program execution across multiple security domains (collateral, proprietary, and unclassified) which may include engineering labs and factories. The leader will establish a vision, set direction, develop, and motivate high-performing technical professionals and teams to deliver business value and results. The leader will partner across DT and RTX functions to drive new technology insertion, sustainment direction, and support programs through the entire lifecycle. The leader will have the responsibility for all aspects of people management including hiring, staff development, training, and performance appraisals.

This position reports to the Raytheon (RAY) Digital Technology (DT) Program Execution (PE) Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS), Missions Solutions & Payloads Department Manager (MSP DM).

Responsibilities to anticipate:

  • Develop and lead a high-performing team aligned with our Raytheon vision, strategy, values, and behaviors.

  • Partner closely with peer groups to enable flawless DT service delivery, and technology insertion / evolution.

  • Assign and monitor projects and tasks.

  • Manage and record employee performance.

  • Create and submit periodic status reports and accomplishments to the next level of leadership.

  • Administer time reporting, training, recruiting, orientation, and onboarding of new employees.

  • Manage annual operating plan (AOP) for the local team DT scope.

  • Workforce planning and resource management.

  • Candidates within commuting distance to an RTX location in El Segundo, CA

  • Must be able to travel up to 10%

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires a STEM, IT bachelor’s degree with 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced STEM, IT degree with 7 years of relevant experience, associate degree in STEM, IT with 12 years’ experience, or in lieu of no degree must have 14 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience with Digital Technology (DT), Information Technology (IT) System Administration .

  • Experience managing, supervising, or leading a team in technology environments, either in IT/DT, Engineering, or other STEM discipline environment.

  • Must have an active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance . U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

    Qualifications we value:

  • Knowledge of DFARs, CMMC, RMF, DAAPM, and JSIG requirements and controls.

  • Experience in MS Windows and Linux OS Operating environments highly desired, this will be a partially technical role.

  • Experience with workforce planning and resource management highly valued.

  • Demonstrated project / program management success.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in Cybersecurity.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate a business case for investment to senior management and executive audiences.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner engagements with program stakeholders, external DoD customers, and overall relationship excellence.

  • Technical Acumen – Possess a foundational understanding of the technologies within the DT space. Experience in leading the delivery of technical capability (SW/HW Dev, DT Operations, etc.) within a program environment.

  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, with ability to influence and drive change.

  • Demonstrated ability to understand complex issues, develop effective solutions, and drive to timely resolution.

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage conflicting tasks and initiatives.

  • Experience managing teams in an Agile / DevSecOps environment.

  • Experience with cyber and compliance hardening, process controls, and risk management.

  • Curiosity, problem solving, desire to learn new skills.

  • Innovative and strategic thinker.

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
