Training Manager (Secret clearance)

KBR is seeking a Training Manager for a Directorate at Los Angeles Air Force Base in El Segundo, CA. The Training Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, administering, and evaluating the Directorate’s training and professional development program for its assigned personnel. Scope of duties includes, but is not limited to: initial, recurring, and annual Space Force training; Government purchase card holder training; training budget (and obligation) estimates; dissemination of various training opportunities; and submittal of various application packages, such as Squadron Officer School and Test Pilot School.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Coordinates scheduling of all mandatory Space Force training for all newly hired employees; provides training briefings to new employees as required.

  • Maintains training records of all currently assigned personnel; ensures that all records are complete, accurate, and within regulatory guidelines; ensures that an employee’s training record follows them when outprocessing or transferring to another SSC organization

  • Maintains and tracks Basic Developmental Education, Acquisition Program Development Plans, and Individual Development Plans of all currently assigned personnel; coordinates and announces various developmental and training opportunities to targeted personnel; ensures all personnel acquire all training necessary to achieve their professional development and career advancement goals

  • Coordinates with various SSC functional organizations regarding non-Governmental training courses prior to purchasing or contracting for the non-Governmental training

  • Notifies the Directorate of all special duty and professional military education opportunity programs; reviews and aides in submission of all application packages

  • Assists the Government with the identification, processing, and approval of Office of Government Ethics (OGE) 450 forms

    · Supports the Government in other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree and 15 years of experience at Space Systems Command

  • Secret Clearance

  • Experience in information and schedule management

  • Must have excellent written and oral communications skills and the ability to brief junior employees through senior leaders (i.e., flag and general officers or members of the senior executive service).

  • Experience with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required; experience in SharePoint a plus.

  • Ability to work effectively with various personalities and agencies outside of SSC.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    · Experience in training management, including multiple projects in a collaborative, team-based environment.

  • Ability to conduct research in relevant areas and give subject matter expertise advice to staff and leadership.

  • Ability to use initiative and resourcefulness in problem-solving.

    Security Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance required

    Basic Compensation: $125-155k

The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
